Classroom Rules
1. Listen when others are talking
2. Follow directions
3. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself
4. Raise your hand when you have something to say
5. Raise your hand before leaving your seat
6. Show respect for school and personal property
7. Work and play in a safe manner

(PBIS) for more details.
Summary of PBIS: Violations are given throughout the quarter for rules infractions or missing assignments. These start over at the beginning of each new grading period.
Violations 1 and 2: Warning
Violation 3: Loss of Fun Friday Recess
Violation 4 and 5: Warning
Violation 6: Loss of Fun Friday Recess
Violation 7 and 8: Warning
Violation 9: Loss of Good News Party
Students will be excluded from the end of quarter Good News Party is they exceed the maximum allowed violations, or if they have served an in school or out of school suspension.
Classroom Incentives
Fun Friday Recess: A bonus recess will be given each week for students who have received less than 3 violations for the grading period. Students who have 3 violations are excluded from one bonus recess.
Fourth Grade Tickets
Students are rewarded with fourth grade tickets for a variety of accomplishments. These range from attendance at school, to agenda signature by parents, to completed homework assignments, to following the school rules, etc. Any teacher may reward students with Fourth Grade Tickets. Students may use tickets they've earned to purchase items at my classroom store.
Students can also lose Fourth Grade Tickets. Fines are assessed for rules infractions such as talking during instruction, leaving items on the classroom floor at the end of the school day, having a messy desk, inappropriate hallway behavior, etc.
Good News Parties
Students with fewer than 9 violations (0-8), or have had no lunch detentions, suspensions, or have not been sent to the Alternative Learning Center (ALC) earn a Good News Party at the end of each grading period. This party is a privilege for students who have followed the rules. Students who have not earned the Good News Party will spend that time in a designated classroom, supervised by a 4th grade teacher.
